2008 AYC Junior Summer CAMP

Ages: 8 to 16

Full Week Camp Fee: Members: $350, Non-Members: $400, addition same family camper Member $300, non-Member $350.

Up to 20 students per session

There will fun activities in additional to sailing, plus swimming of course!

Bring your lunch or purchase a box lunch.

Camp hours 9am to 5pm, with child care available 1 hour before and after.

Car Pool list will be set up to aid with transportation.

On Friday, try the challenging obstacle course to a picnic and awards!

Beginning Sailing:

Come on out and learn the basics of sailing on an Opti or Pico! Learn how to rig and steer a boat, tie some knots, turn about the wind circle, and a little bit about weather!

Intermediate Sailing:

Depending on skills some will take it up a notch; move onto the Flying Junior for some team fun; or sail fast in the Laser! There will be many games to help you improve your boat handling skills, master the jib, and get to know your classmates!
Prerequisite: Beginning Sailing or Equivalent Skills

Week 4: Beginner-Intermediate-Advanced Sailing Camp:

Three day camp. Now that you have mastered boat handling, it is time to try out some new stuff. This class will give you a chance to try out racing and cruising, all the while getting even better at sailing. On Wed., there is a race and a picnic and awards.
Prerequisite: For Advanced - Intermediate Sailing or Equivalent Skills
Prerequisite: For Beginner - Only Swimming ability

Members: $210 Non-Members: $240

• Early bird registration: Starts Feb 15th (AYC members only)
• Open registration: March 3rd (AYC members and non-members)
• Non-Refundable Registration Deposit (to hold your spot) $150*
• BOX Lunches available for $15 for the 3 days.
• $25.00 additional late fee charge for Registering after May 1st.
• $100 Boat Deposit brought in check form on first day (will be refunded at end of camp if no boat damage)**
